Polyester tie-down straps provide a high degree of strength and durability at an affordable price. Polyester tie-down straps are light-weight, flexible and UV resistant. Polyester retains tension and has an elastic effect, which helps to bind heavy loads during transit and reduces the potential for load shifting and transit damages. Polyester tie-down straps are difficult to break under normal working load, but care must be taken to avoid pulling the straps over sharp or rough surfaces, which can cause abrasion and cutting of the strap. Corner protectors, boards or some other type of separator should be used to insulate the strap from damage where it is pulled tight over rough or sharp edges.
